Privacy in Research

The conduct of research at Hamilton Health Sciences, often involves the collection, disclosure and/or use of personal health information (PHI). This is information that must be protected, and any research involving PHI must comply with Ontario’s Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004, including but not limited to, any disclosure for research purposes: https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/04p03#BK60 .

It is mandatory that all staff and physicians complete the HHS Privacy Training Module in the “My Learning” application in Citrix.
