McMaster Autism Research Team (MacART) is hosting a lunch and keynote presentation on “Introducing the Learning Health System” from Dr. Charles Friedman, Chair at the University of Michigan Medical School, who is a world-renowned expert in this field.

A Learning Healthcare System is defined as a system in which science, informatics, incentives, and culture are aligned for continuous improvement and innovation, with best practices seamlessly embedded in the health care delivery process and new knowledge captured as an integral by-product of the delivery experience.

Date:   April 26, 2018
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Place: McMaster Innovation Park
175 Longwood Rd. S. Hamilton, Ontario

This event offers our research community the opportunity to learn more about their role in creating a learning health system here in Hamilton – where data and experience are integrated with evidence, and that knowledge is put into practice. The result is higher quality, safer, more efficient care for our patients.
