Ontario Genomics Anticipated Funding Opportunity

A Genome Canada Large Scale Applied Research Project (LSARP) is expected to be announced in early 2017.  The focus will be precision medicine – competition objectives, principles and selection/evaluation criteria are currently being finalized.

Based on past LSARP competitions, projects will likely need to:

  • include end users as part of the research team
  • be multidisciplinary (science, and social science/humanities), and
  • have a total 4-year budget between $2M-$10M – cofounding will be required
  • project deliverables will need to lead to social and/or economic benefits to Canada

In advance of launching this competition, Ontario Genomics is open and willing to meet with researchers whose potential projects would fit the call to:

  • facilitate preparation of highly competitive applications
  • identify collaborators, end users and source of co-funding
