Katie Porter, Director of Research Administration, received the Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA) award for “Outstanding Contribution to Research Management and Administration” at the 2016 ARMA Annual Conference in Birmingham, UK June 6-8th.
This accolade formally recognizes Katie for her talent and dedication, her significant contributions, and for demonstrating exceptional impact on the research administration profession – both on an individual and team level. Katie expanded her role far beyond her Director position at Hamilton Health Sciences through extensive work and a proven record of accomplishment in publishing, presenting, teaching, and volunteering on external boards/committees of national and international professional organizations.
HHS Research is proud to celebrate with Katie this exceptional accolade… it is well deserved, congratulations! Her ongoing outreach enhances the reputation of the profession as well as the standards of research management. ARMA presents the Outstanding Contribution Award on occasions when an individual whose contributions to research management and administration are of such significance that special recognition is warranted – these individuals exemplify positive impact on the research support environment at the local, national and international level.
